I would not call myself an audiophile, more of a fussy listener. I have tried cheaper iem's but never found a pair I liked the sound of - treble usually far too harsh for me. These were reduced in price so I thought I'd give them a try and I am very glad I did, they sound brilliant and are very lightweight and comfortable. I was surprised how thin the cable was but it hasn't broken so far and I am terrible for tangling wires so the jury might be out on that but the cable is replaceable so I don't think that's worth knocking a star off for as they do sound absolutely terrific..
The only other issue I had is that because they are iem's I had a hard job getting the right level for the volume. That's actually a problem with my phone because it has too few volume increments for my liking as I listen at fairly low volumes. To solve this I use these with my hip dac 2 and now I can get beautiful sound at the right volume level for me. To my ears the dac didn't actually make any difference to the sound quality so it's not like you need one with these I don't think but as a volume control it's perfect.
Long story short, I would heartily recommend them. Folk and acoustic music sounds particularly great and there is absolutely no sibilance or harsh treble. Happy days.
Always hankered after a top class IEM and having a chat with Dan I chose these Mach 70’s. 2 weeks in I’m still being amazed at their sound. I did upgrade my device to the Mojo2 which to me is pretty perfect.
It’s always good to be totally enamoured with a great buy. Thanks Dan
Love these. Open stage. Great reproduction of the sound. Generous in the mid-range.
