I bought these leather replacement pads to refresh my early 2021 LCD-X, whose pads were still functional but showing the signs of 3 years of studio usage.
I honestly prefer these to the original pads! They are a little bit plusher, the seams slightly more subtle, and the thickness of the pads is slightly broader at the back of the head. Just like the pads on my new 4z !
In terms of installation, the backing on the 3M rings was a little awkward to peel off, but no headaches otherwise.
Overall I'm very happy, my X feel as good as new, and when I open the case they have that fresh smell... which I will enjoy while it lasts.
